As 2025 draws to a close, Gen Collective is reflecting on a year defined by connection, empowerment, and meaningful community impact. This year’s events, spanning networking, professional development, storytelling, and collaboration, reminded us of the extraordinary things that happen when women come together with intention.
And nothing captured that more perfectly than our End of Year Event, our biggest celebration of 2025.
Our End of Year Event: A Night That Captured the Heart of Gen Collective
This year’s End of Year Event brought our members, supporters, sponsors, and partners together for an evening full of warmth, gratitude, and celebration.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to our venue, who hosted our community with exceptional care and professionalism, creating the perfect setting to close out the year.
We also proudly acknowledged our charity partner, Dress for Success, whose mission to uplift and equip women aligns so closely with the values of Gen Collective. Their ongoing work continues to inspire and remind us of the power of community-driven impact.
The night was filled with genuine connection, reflection on our achievements, and a shared excitement for what is ahead as we move into 2026.
2025: A Year Guided by Connection & Growth
Our calendar this year reflected four key themes:
Connection - Every event, from relaxed networking to development workshop, strengthened relationships and fostered an inclusive community of women supporting women.
Inspiration - Our signature events, including International Women’s Day and Level Up, featured powerful voices and meaningful messages that encouraged confidence, growth, and self-belief.
Professional & Personal Growth - Through targeted sessions and workshops, members gained valuable tools to advance their careers, strengthen their leadership, and prioritise their wellbeing.
Community Impact - With initiatives like our partnership with Dress for Success, we continued making a positive impact on the lives of women in our region.
2026 International Women’s Day — Speaker Announcement
We are incredibly proud to announce that our 2026 International Women’s Day event, held in partnership with Regional Australia Bank, will feature Cathy Freeman as our keynote speaker.
Cathy Freeman, an Olympic icon and advocate for women and First Nations communities, represents resilience, determination, and hope. Her story will bring extraordinary depth and inspiration to one of our major events of the year.
This partnership with Regional Australia Bank strengthens the impact of our 2026 IWD celebration and enables us to deliver an event of true significance to our community.
