Gen Collective invites you to Paint Your Piece at MOA & co, a relaxed evening of ceramic painting, mulled wine and genuine connection with like-minded professionals from across the Hunter region.
Choose a handmade ceramic dish, pick up a brush and paint at your own pace while mingling with the community you have built and the people you are yet to meet. No experience needed, no pressure, just good conversation and something creative to do with your hands.
What's Included
A self-directed paint your piece ceramic experience where you decorate a small dish, perfect for condiments, jewellery, keys or small treasures. All materials, tools and support provided, plus professional glazing and firing with your piece ready to collect within two weeks. Mulled wine and food from Frankie, MOA's onsite café, included throughout the evening.
This is networking without the pitch. Creativity without the mess. Community without the formality.

Meet Our Event Host - Grounded By Designs
Grounded By Designs is an eco-conscious ceramic studio based in Carrington, Newcastle, offering a welcoming space to slow down, get creative and connect through clay. Nestled inside MOA & co, a beautifully restored warehouse marketplace, the studio invites visitors to experience the joy of handmade ceramics through guided workshops and relaxed, self-directed studio sessions.
Founded by local photographer Myf Garven, Grounded By Designs celebrates sustainability, intentional craftsmanship and the everyday ritual of making. Whether you're visiting for a structured workshop like Coffee & Claytime, where you'll hand-build your own vessel over a morning coffee, or popping in for a casual Play with Clay session, there's an experience to suit all skill levels and interests.
