Conversations That Matter: What If It Didn’t Feel This Hard?

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your head, or finding conversations harder than they should be?

This practical, evidence‑informed session explores what’s really happening beneath the surface and what you can do about it.

Drawing on psychology, neuroscience and real‑world experience, Bernadette Smyth unpacks how the brain and body respond under pressure, and how this shapes the way we think, communicate and make decisions every day.

You’ll walk away with simple, immediately usable tools to help you:

  • Think more clearly

  • Communicate with greater ease

  • Reduce cognitive overload

  • Show up with confidence, at work and in life

Meet Our Speaker - Bernadette Smyth

After more than 20 years in professional roles, Bernadette became deeply curious about how people think, cope, communicate and make decisions, especially under pressure.

Her work sits at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience and everyday life. She is passionate about making complex science accessible, practical and human.

Rather than “fix yourself” narratives, Bernadette focuses on conversations that matter, designed to educate, empower and elevate. Her aim is simple: to help people make sense of complexity and move forward with clarity and confidence.
