Nina Hitchins
Director at Ithaca Impact
Nina Hitchins helps organisations turn sustainability and social impact goals into clear, evidence‑based action. She works with both the public and private sector to build practical sustainability strategies, strengthen impact measurement, and prepare for evolving reporting and regulatory expectations.
A resource economist with 15 years’ experience, Nina has worked across sectors including energy, water, waste, mining, and social services for disengaged youth, seniors and people experiencing domestic and family violence. She specialises in translating complex environmental, social and market dynamics into decision‑ready insights, ranging from cost‑benefit analyses and carbon transition action plans to monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks. Her work helps organisations assess program outcomes, shape sustainability roadmaps and align investments with long‑term value.
Nina brings deep capability in sustainability accounting and impact measurement. As an FSA Credential Holder she is qualified to apply the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, and their Australian derivative, the AASB Standards. Her work helps organisations understand what’s financially and socially material, how to measure it, and how to communicate it with confidence.
Her approach blends economic analysis, commercial acumen and practical experience to help clients understand risks, identify opportunities and demonstrate the value they create for people, planet and performance.
Nina holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Resource Economics (Hons I) from the University of Sydney.
